The Practice:
Both Dr. Ruth Haskins and Jennifer Toth, NP specialize in providing Obstetrical and Gynecologic care to women of all ages. The practice focuses on preventing illness through maintaining optimal health and healthy lifestyles through education, information and involvement. We have a commitment to complete confidentiality. We firmly believe in a team approach, incorporating your family, your values and your daily environment as part of planning for your overall health and well-being.
Dr. Haskins brings over 30 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology for her patients' benefit. As a former CMA President, she is actively involved in the political process and is well known at the state capitol and in congress as a passionate advocate for women's health care.
Within walking distance of Mercy Folsom Hospital, our office is conveniently located in the same complex as multiple imaging and lab services, with all major pharmacies within our zip code.
Our office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. We provide 24 hour on call emergency care with a diverse and extremely qualified group of Ob/Gyn doctors in our night-time call coverage group.

Dr Ruth Haskins Bio:
Born in Pennsylvania, Dr. Ruth Haskins grew up in a Pittsburgh rural suburb. Dr Haskins competed both her undergraduate and her medical training at the University of Pittsburgh. She did her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Grant USAF Medical Center, Travis, AFB, completing her specialty training in 1989.
Until 1993 she served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of Major before hanging up her uniform to practice private medicine. Just prior ending her military career, she was awarded a Meritorious Service Award for her work as Chairman of the Department of Ob/Gyn at Scott U.S. Air Force Base in O'Fallon, Illinois, supervising 18 physicians and overseeing several thousand deliveries per year.
She moved to Fair Oaks, CA and practiced at Mercy San Juan Hospital and Sutter Roseville hospitals in 1993. As her family grew she sold her private practice in Carmichael and joined the U.C. Davis Medical Group, where until June of 2008 she practiced at the Women's Center of Folsom.
Dr. Haskins has been actively involved in the political process, at our state capitol and in the halls of congress. She is a passionate advocate for women's health issues. Dr. Haskins married her attorney husband, Christopher, in 1987. She has two sons, Nicholas and John, and is an avid reader, a yoga enthusiast and devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

We appreciate the busy lives our patients have competing with maintenance of their health care. We try to accommodate our patients' needs for appointment times and days. Every effort is made to see our patients at their scheduled time, but occasional medical emergencies or obstetrical deliveries may cause delays. We do our best to keep patients from being inconvenienced.
