 Every year, #SSVMSFutureOfMed pairs local high school students with healthcare professionals in the area to shadow them over Spring Break - or what we call White Coat Week. I am delighted to be a participant, along with my colleagues; Barbara Arnold, MD; Ashutosh Raina, MD; Andrea Willey, MD; Terry Zimmerman, MD; Ivy Li, NP; Marvin Kamras, MD; and Eve LaValley Willsey, MD. An obvious excuse for celebration and pampering for all, including nails, champagne and cake!  Yesterday was International Women's Day, imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can cause change. Let's all celebrate women's achievements every day and raise awareness to drive gender parity.  March is with us and brings the first day of spring, Easter, Ramadan, Basketball fans get to cheer their favorite teams and we launch our cute March monthly banner with my usual little plug.
