Also: measles is making a comeback - because why not - the NIH and CDC are getting their budgets gutted, and someone let AI write a major government health report. Kennedy Jr. told lawmakers, "I don't think people should be taking medical advice from me." This, in response to a question about whether he'd vaccinate his own children during a major measles outbreak. But here’s the problem: as the nation’s top health official, giving clear, science-based guidance is part of the job. Deflecting responsibility undermines public trust—especially during a health crisis. Even more concerning, Kennedy is backing deep budget cuts to the very agencies responsible for protecting public health, including an $18 billion cut to the NIH. Leadership requires clarity, not retreat.
